As defined by Moz.com, Schema.org (often simply called Schema) is a semantic vocabulary of tags you can add to your HTML to help search engines better understand and present your pages in search results.

WooCommerce already includes built-in structured data that allows product reviews to appear properly in organic search results, so you typically don’t need any additional plugins for this functionality.

However, some WordPress themes and page builders (such as Elementor) disable WooCommerce’s default structured data output. In these cases, you’ll need to rely on a third-party SEO plugin to generate the necessary markup, or enable the built-in structured data feature provided by our plugin.

How to create schema markup with CusRev plugin

Our plugin can extend the standard functionality of WooCommerce and add extra schema markup to help search engines properly crawl your shop.

Review sections on product pages

If you want the plugin to generate schema markup for WooCommerce product pages based on the default review section, simply enable the Review Schema Markup option in the Review Extensions tab of the plugin settings.

Review shortcodes

If you want schema markup to be generated for the [cusrev_all_reviews] or [cusrev_reviews_grid] shortcodes, set the schema_markup parameter to true in the shortcode.

How to test schema markup

It’s important to understand that having valid structured data makes your site eligible for review stars in Google’s search results, but it does not guarantee that the stars will appear. You can check your rich snippets using Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool.
